I joined
AFC back in mid-November, having already lost 87 lbs. I had injured
my foot walking a half-marathon in October and I wanted to find a
way to continue my exercise and focus on strength training to give
my foot a rest. After working out at home for so long, I knew I was
ready to take my fitness to another level. I started working out 5-6
times per week at AFC. Two of those days I receive personal training
from Travis Voshell. Not only has he helped me to reshape my body
using strength training but he’s also inspired me to take my cardio
to a much higher level. As a result, I have lost an additional 15
lbs. in the last 3 months, bringing my total to 102 lbs lost. Since
joining the gym, I have lost 1-1/2” in my waist and 2-3/4” in my
hips alone. I couldn’t be happier with the results I have
found at AFC and I will continue to use your services and facilities
as well as personal training to get me all the way to my long-term

"I decided it was time to make a change." 9 months ago I was 208 lbs not happy with the way I looked. I was tired, and had no energy. I decided it was time to make a change. I didn't know anything about eating properly or training properly, so I figured I needed an expert. I talked to some friends and was referred to Americas Fitness Center. I needed some help to commit to an exercise program and to educate myself. So, I signed up for a personal trainer, and Connie Wells was assigned to help me meet my goals. After 4 weeks I lost 12 lbs!! After 4 months I had lost 23 lbs, and 9 months later I am still maintaining a 25 lb weight loss. |

I was a size 34-36 waist - I am now a size 30. I have gained 1 1/2 inches on my biceps and 2 inches around my chest. I couldn't have done it with out the help of Connie and her positive encouragement and knowledge. After I had met my goal of 20 lbs of weight loss, Connie asked me, "what's your secret Curt?", I told her that I only followed her instructions, did what she told me, I work out regularly, followed the exercises she taught me, I now eat in portions and I added one more thing.....commitment. Thank you Connie, without your encouragement
